Good to know

Practical notes

  • El Jadida is about 1.5 hours south; Rabat is under an hour north by train or car — both are easy day trips.
  • Three days is the most Casablanca itself needs before you start exploring the wider coast.
  • A private driver makes day three flexible — you can decide between El Jadida and Rabat on the day.

Frequently asked

Is 3 days too long in Casablanca?

Not if you add a day trip — two days covers the city itself, and a third lets you reach El Jadida's Portuguese Cistern or Rabat's monuments along the Atlantic. Without a day trip, two days is usually enough.

What day trips can you do from Casablanca?

El Jadida (the UNESCO Portuguese Cistern, ~1.5 hours south) and Rabat (the capital's kasbah and monuments, under an hour north) are the easiest. Marrakech is also reachable by fast train.
