What you'll see

Hassan II Mosque, the Art-Deco city and the medinas

The Hassan II Mosque

Casablanca's defining monument rises straight out of the Atlantic, its 210-metre minaret the tallest of any mosque on earth. It is one of the only mosques in Morocco non-Muslims may enter, and only on a guided timed visit — which is exactly what a private tour secures for you, queue-free.

The Art-Deco downtown

The 1920s and 30s left Casablanca a downtown of curved Mauresque balconies, wrought iron and carved plaster found nowhere else in Morocco — Place Mohammed V, the skeletal Sacré-Cœur cathedral and the restored Cinéma Rialto. A walking guide reads the facades for you.

Two medinas & the Corniche

The lived-in 19th-century old medina by the port and the elegant 1920s Habous "new medina" sit minutes apart, while the Corniche runs west to the Sidi Abderrahmane shrine and the city's best Atlantic sunsets — easy to fold into an afternoon.

Who it suits

Who a private Casablanca tour is for

Cruise passengers on a Casablanca call

Port pickup, a tight but unhurried loop of the mosque and medina, and a guaranteed return before your sailing time.

Layover travellers with hours to spare

We track your flight, run you into the city for the highlights, and get you back to Mohammed V Airport with margin.

First-time visitors who want context

A licensed guide turns Casablanca's Art-Deco facades, two medinas and giant mosque into a story rather than a checklist.

Families and small groups

Private means your own pace, your own car, and stops shaped around kids, mobility or a long lunch — never a coach timetable.

Frequently asked

Private Casablanca tours: your questions

What does a private Casablanca tour include?

Every tour on this page is fully private: your own licensed English- or French-speaking guide, a private air-conditioned car with driver where transfers are involved, hotel or cruise-port pickup, all listed entrance tickets, and bottled water. You never share the car or guide with strangers, and the pace is entirely yours.

How much does a private tour of Casablanca cost?

Our half-day private city tours start from $55 for the whole group (not per person) — for example the Art-Deco walk at $55, the Hassan II Mosque guided visit at $65, or the old medina and Habous quarter at $60. Full-day private excursions such as the Rabat day trip start from $130. Every price is confirmed in writing before you pay a deposit.

Can I combine several tours into one private day?

Yes — that is the main reason people book private. A common full day pairs the Hassan II Mosque visit with the old medina and Habous quarter, or the Art-Deco walk with a Corniche sunset drive. Tell us what you want to see and we build a single private itinerary and quote around your hours.

Are these tours suitable on a cruise stop or airport layover?

They are. We meet cruise passengers at Casablanca port and track inbound flights for layover guests at Mohammed V Airport (about 35 minutes from the city). We plan the loop around your sailing or check-in time and always keep a safe return margin.

Can I go inside Hassan II Mosque on a private tour?

Yes. Hassan II is one of the very few mosques in Morocco open to non-Muslims, and only on guided timed visits. On the private mosque tour we book your timed entry in advance so you skip the ticket queue and walk the prayer hall, cedar roof and basement hammam with a licensed guide.

Which languages do the private guides speak?

Our Casablanca guides work in English and French, and several also speak Arabic. Tell us your preference when you enquire and we assign a guide who matches — and, where you want it, a guide who specialises in the architecture or the food.

How far ahead should I book a private Casablanca tour?

For most city tours a few days' notice is enough, and last-minute requests are often possible with a phone call. For cruise days, the Rabat or El Jadida day trips, or anything in high season (October to April), book a week or two ahead so we can lock your preferred guide and timing.

Is hotel pickup included?

For every tour that uses a car, yes — private pickup and drop-off at your Casablanca hotel or the cruise port is included. The two downtown walking tours (the Art-Deco walk and the food tour) meet on foot in the centre, which we confirm when we send your itinerary.
